Isaiah 43:2 When thou passest through the waters, I will be with thee; and through the rivers, they shall not overflow thee: when thou walkest through the fire, thou shalt not be burned; neither shall the flame kindle upon thee.
Are you in some probing situations or challenges, and you don’t know the way out, or what to do. Relax, and wait on God. God’s word for you today is that “He is there”.
He will never leave you effortlessly; neither will He ever forsake you. He is making a way for you out of that misery.
Who are the Four Hebrews in the fire?
The scripture reveals the remarkable story of three Hebrew men; Shadrach, Meshach and Abednego, even though they have the choice of compromising their faith in God by bowing down before the image of gold that was set up by Nebuchadnezzar, refused to bow, but held on faithfully to their God.
A situation that was so grave to the extent that, failure to do so, would amount to them being thrown into the burning furnace of fire that has been heated seven times over.
However, and remarkably; these three men (shadrach, Meshack and Abednego) would not do that: instead, they made a victorious statement, the kind only they who have come to know their God and subsequently have faith and confidence in His saving grace would:
“OUR GOD, WHOM WE SERVE, IS ABLE TO DELIVER US…”
Furious, the king; He commanded, and they were immediately thrown into the fiery furnace. But then, right inside the fire, they were unhurt, for a “fourth man” (an appearance of the son of God) was seen inside the fire with them saving them from the raging inferno. Daniel 3:1-30.
For this great victory of theirs, let us consider these two important factors.
The Fourth Man In the Fire: Two Factors that led to Shadrach, Meshack and Abednego escape from the fire
1. THEY KNEW THEIR GOD
“…our God whom we serve is able to deliver us…”
One would see that they indeed knew the very God they serve and they subsequently understands the enormous saving power that can be made available for they that knows, serve, and also put their trust in Him.
The Statement above if considered (in every sense of it), one would see that “it is a statement that only they with the knowledge of the God they believed in can utter.
Hosea 4:6 My people are destroyed for lack of knowledge: because thou hast rejected knowledge, I will also reject thee,...
The truth is, lack of identity (knowledge) of whom a person is and is representing is one sure way in which many had been robbed of their realities and victories.
NB: Had it been they did not really know the enormous saving grace of God; they would not have so much relied on Him and neither would they have altered the victorious words.
Apostle Paul was telling the Romans in his letter to them, of the woe that betides some people of old, in that, even though they know God, they refused to serve Him as God.
Romans 1: 21-22Because that, when they knew God, they glorified him not as God, neither were thankful; but became vain in their imaginations, and their foolish heart was darkened. Professing themselves to be wise, they became fools,
But this is not the case on the part of the Hebrew men. We through the scripture can see that they knew their God, and in their turbulent time still goes on to glorify God; professing and relying on His saving grace alone and not in anyone or anything else.
Getting to know more of God even in turbulent times requires; sticking, holding unto, studying, putting into act and continually believing the word of His Grace.

2. THEY GAVE NO ROOM TO FEAR
Truthfully, the fastest way in which a believer can easily yield to the devices of the devil is by entertaining in his heart false evidences that the devil may be communicating.
Hebrews 2:15 …And deliver them who through fear of death were all their lifetime subject to bondage.
Meanwhile, our background study shows adamant Hebrew men who at the point of death refused to fear nor compromise their standards in God.
“Heat up the fire seven time more than it was won’t to be heated.”
After this was done, the scripture says the flame of the fire alone slew the strong men that threw them into the fire.
Showing the immensity of the fire and possibly a scene of fire that can infuse a sense of fear in a once faith filled heart.
However, we see that instead of succumbing to fear and compromise [NB: The only true enemy of faith is fear] they rather hold on to their faith in God.
You will of course agree with me that if they should entertain fears, most especially, the fear of death, they may definitely compromise their standards.
Conclusion
We should emulate the three Hebrew men (Shadrach, Meshack and Abednego) in our Christian journey by putting our total trust in God.
Therefore, as Christians, it doesn’t matter what we are passing through, it doesn’t matter how great and turbulent the situation may be, what matters most is we in our troubles; getting to know God the more, glorifying Him, succumbing not to fear; but by faith, trusting in the saving grace of God even to the uttermost.
NB: 2 Timothy1:7 For God hath not given us the spirit of fear; but of power, and of love, and of a sound mind.
